Australians have begun praying for the survival of the United States during its “spiritual battle.”
Millions of Americans will be observing the National Day of Prayer this Thursday. They will be assembling in front of courthouses, and in churches, synagogues, temples, and mosques to pray for their country. Halfway across the world, another country will also be praying for America: Australia.

In fact, Australians have already begun praying for America. Australian Heart Ministries, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people in Australia and around the world, announced its intention to pray and fast for America from April 30 till May 5, last month. The organization also called upon the entire world to pray with them for the U.S.
According to the founder of Australian Heart Ministries, Warwick Marsh, America is going through testing times nowadays. In an interview with Charisma News, Marsh said that the secular forces in America have taken prayer out of the American schools. It is progressively waging war against religious freedom, faith, and family. As of now, the United States is in a spiritual battle for its survival as a nation under God. It is time for Australians and the people around the world to join hands in prayer with their brothers and sisters in America, in the battle for their nation. Marsh cited 2 Chronicles 7:14 and prompted the world to pray for the spiritual revival and transformation of America.

According to Warwick Marsh, America is a great nation that is a blessing to the world. America has given aid to the poor and has helped nations across the world at their time of need. He recalled how America protected Australia during World War II. He said the American soldiers bled out in the Coral Sea to protect Australia from foreign enemies.
For Australia, the 1942 Battle of the Coral Sea was a turning point in World War II. In fact, it has been a turning point for all the countries involved in World War II. The major naval battle in the Pacific Theater was fought between the Imperial Japanese Navy and the naval and air forces from Australia and America. The battle marked the first time the Allies successfully checked a major Japanese advance. The battle actually paved the way for the ultimate defeat of Japan in World War II.
Marsh wholeheartedly believes that the whole world praying for America will certainly help them overcome the present cultural dynamic inside the nation.
2016 marks the 65th observance of the National Day of Prayer for Americans. It was established in the year 1952, by President Harry S. Truman.
