OUDENAARDE, BELGIUM – July 2nd, 2026 – A Historic Milestone for European Hinduism: Sanatana Dharma Europe (SDE) Blessed by the Presence and Guidance of Respected Dharmic Leaders
OUDENAARDE – Today marks a watershed moment for the spiritual and civic landscape of the continent as Sanatana Dharma Europe (SDE) officially welcomes some respected Dharmic Leaders to the Advisory Board. SDE having its headquarters in Oudenaarde, Belgium. Functioning as a premier representative platform for the continent’s rapidly growing Hindu population, SDE creates a unified, transparent, and independent home for an estimated minimum of 2.1 million European practitioners (Sanatanis).
As an ancient spiritual path centered on universal peace and conscious living, Sanatana Dharma (popularly known as Hinduism) is experiencing a profound renaissance across Europe, drawing thousands of native Europeans toward its timeless philosophy alongside the established diaspora. SDE aims to honor and bring together all authentic Hindu traditions – including Shaivism, Vaishnavism, Shaktism, and Smartism ect… under a single, collaborative umbrella, embracing the diverse schools of Vedanta such as Advaita (non-dualism), Vishishtadvaita (qualified non-dualism), and Dvaita (dualism).
Sovereign Leadership and European Integration
At a time of shifting geopolitical dynamics, SDE stands firmly as an autonomous European institution. The organization is explicitly committed to preserving the spiritual integrity of European Hinduism, ensuring it remains entirely free from foreign state agendas or external political manipulation. SDE is dedicated to guiding its followers to fully abide by European laws, live by local standards of civil society, and contribute actively toward inclusivity and global peace.
A Distinguished Board of Directors and Advisory Board Members
SDE’s foundational leadership brings together highly respected spiritual masters, scholars, and community leaders from diverse, authentic traditions:
President of the Board of Directors: Swami Bhairavananda Saraswati (Jimmy Coryn). From Belgium, Swamiji is an initiated Karma Sanyasi belonging to the ancient Saraswati order – the oldest and longest-standing monastic lineage, renowned for spreading wisdom and knowledge of the True Self. This order follows the foundational path of Adi Shankara, who established sacred institutions to guide humanity toward eternal peace through Sanatana Dharma. Swami Bhairavananda gracefully balances the householder path with formal monastic vows, dedicating his life to spreading Shiva Consciousness, transparency, and societal harmony. In addition to his role at SDE, Swamiji serves as the Executive Director of Shiva Forum Europe and is deeply engaged in high-level international interreligious dialogue. He has featured as a speaker at numerous national and international conferences focused on peace and human rights, and has actively participated in the Article 17 TFEU Seminars organized by the European Parliament.
President of the Advisory Board: Pandit Krishna Kripa Dasa (Juan Carlos Ramchandani). A prominent, widely respected, and deeply knowledgeable leader in European Hindu affairs, he steps into this role to guide the strategic and cultural vision of the advisory body. He belongs to the Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya of the great saint and philosopher Sri Ramanujacharya (12th century). His spiritual teachers, Sundarachari Swami and Narasimhachari Swami, are direct descendants in this sacred lineage. Furthermore, he received specialized training in Vaishnava culture and traditional ritual practices from Sri Keshavachari Bhattar.
Honorary Advisory Board Member: Swami Tureyananda Saraswati. He is the founder of European Yoga Therapy and the Tureya Ashram in India, providing profound dharmic oversight and wisdom to the organization. Swamiji is deeply engaged in advanced research within the fields of Yoga Therapy and Yoga Psychology, bridging ancient spiritual sciences with contemporary well-being.
A Vision for the Future
“Our singular purpose is to act as a bridge,” says SDE President Swami Bhairavananda Saraswati. “We are here to awaken individuals to the ultimate reality of the soul, remove the darkness of ignorance, and build a structured, transparent, and completely independent home for Sanatana Dharma that enriches European civil society while staying true to our traditional roots.”
SDE is officially registered within the EU Transparency Register and stands ready to serve as a verified interlocutor for Hindu affairs with European institutions, interfaith platforms, and international diplomatic bodies.
