Lady Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, was brought up in a Catholic household. She attended an all-girls Catholic education institution all through high school. Even though her music is regarded to be as far away from her Catholic faith as possible, it remains unclear whether she considers himself as a Catholic at this point of time.

In her social media post, the singer wrote that she has always been honest about her mental and physical health struggles. She was trying to solve them for many years now. She admitted that it is complicated and even difficult to explain her predicament. The singer said she will tell story in a more detailed manner when she gets stronger and when she feels she is ready to do so.

I have always been honest about my physical and mental health struggles. Searching for years to get to the bottom of them. It is complicated and difficult to explain, and we are trying to figure it out. As I get stronger and when I feel ready, I will tell my story in more depth, and plan to take this on strongly so I can not only raise awareness, but expand research for others who suffer as I do, so I can help make a difference. I use the word "suffer" not for pity, or attention, and have been disappointed to see people online suggest that I'm being dramatic, making this up, or playing the victim to get out of touring. If you knew me, you would know this couldn't be further from the truth. I'm a fighter. I use the word suffer not only because trauma and chronic pain have changed my life, but because they are keeping me from living a normal life. They are also keeping me from what I love the most in the world: performing for my fans. I am looking forward to touring again soon, but I have to be with my doctors right now so I can be strong and perform for you all for the next 60 years or more. I love you so much.

Lady Gaga continued on to say in her social media post that she will speak on her suffering so that awareness can be raised of her condition. She wants research to be done on the subject and wants to make a difference. She said that she used the word 'suffer' in her writing not to gather pity or even attention. She was surprised and pained to be accused of being dramatic or making up her sickness. The singer said she is not faking her symptoms to escape from the rigors of touring. In fact, she reiterated that those who know her understand such insinuations to be clearly false.

Lady Gaga wrote that she was a fighter. She said that she used the word 'suffer' not only as chronic pain and trauma have irrevocably changed her life, they have stopped her from enjoying a normal lifestyle. The constant pain has stopped her from doing what she loves most in her life-performing for the people who made her what she is-her fans. She concluded by saying that she looks forward to tour again. However, she reminded her fans she is under medication and must listen to her doctors.

Lady Gaga has postponed her European Joanne tour scheduled to start from September 21 and continue until October 28. The tour will tentatively begin from early 2018.

Lady Gaga was a Roman Catholic schoolgirl at the Convent of the Sacred Heart all-girls school in Manhattan before she became a pop megastar.
