BBC-sponsored Scientology Documentary by Louis Theroux, ‘My Scientology Movie,’ to Premiere in October

Seasoned documentarian Louis Theroux’s My Scientology Movie is set to world premiere in London next month.
The film will be the second documentary to be released this year about Scientology.
Theroux, who started his career in journalism, has made several documentaries and has been part of two BBC Two Specials, most recently The Most Hated Family in America which is about the Westboro Baptist Church.

My Scientology Movie is directed by John Dower and produced by Simon Chinn. The executive producer is Charlotte Moore, a BBC1 controller.
Broadcast reports the film will “follow Theroux as he explores the Church of Scientology and attempt to enter the Church’s headquarters in Los Angeles.”
The documentary will premiere October 14 at the BFI London Film Festival and screen again on October 17.
