Nabeel Qureshi, a noted Christian thinker, died at the age of 34 of stomach cancer. Mr. Qureshi was a Christian Apologist, a field of theology that presents an evidential basis for Christianity. Mr. Qureshi was raised Muslim but converted to Christianity in college. It was conversations with a fellow student and several dreams about Christ that were the catalyst for his change. He described his family as being a devout Muslim-American family who made his conversion a straining issue. He then went on to attempt to provide evidence for Christianity.
He has been a controversial figure in theological discussions. He has spoken to groups about Islam as a violent religion and has told audiences “if I was still a Muslim I would have found it hard to not go to Syria.” While originally he had more hostility towards Islam, he stated on his deathbed that he did not want his videos to be used as a justification for violence.
I left Islam because I studied Muhammad's life. I accepted the Gospel because I studied Jesus' life.#MyStory #SeekingAllahFindingJesus
