New Jersey’s Liquid Church shatters Guinness World Record with charity event
Last week, we reported that New Jersey’s Liquid Church would attempt to pack 1,200 bags of non-perishable food for hunger relief.
They shattered a Guinness World Record for assembling hunger-relief kits in 3 minutes, beating out Walmart’s previous record of 555 bundles.
Of the 367 participants, 224 were children. “We wanted to prove to the kids that they can do anything the corporate giants can do,” said Kenny Jahng, the church’s media and innovation pastor.
“The adrenaline was rushing everywhere,” said Hunter Birch, an 11 year old volunteer and member of Liquid Church. “It was really cool to be a part of it.”
