Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf has faced an onslaught of misconceptions about his belief in Islam, but he pressed on, despite how fellow Americans labeled him.
Rauf spoke with NPR about his book, Moving the Mountain: Beyond Ground Zero to a New Vision of Islam in America which tells the story of how his life has shaped his religious beliefs.
