Gigi and Bella Hadid are two sisters who have appeared in the limelight because of their beauty. The two teenagers are supermodels who are in many ways similar to the Kardashians. Gigi is the older sister, and she began modeling earlier than her younger sister Bella.

Their childhood was a privileged one thanks to their father who was born in Nazareth and moved to the US when he was only 14. The father was strict and religiously adhered to the Islamic doctrines. This adherence to their faith can serve as a positive role to fight anti-Islamic notions that are ingrained many people’s minds. Gigi and her pop star boyfriend, Zayn Malik, are extremely popular in the US. They are both Muslim, and they have faced quite a hard time with Islamophobic encounters.
The two sisters have made it possible for the world to see a different side of the Islamic culture. Some people inaccurately associate Islam exclusively with terrorism. President Trump has not helped the situation by not trying to rally people to stop Islamophobia. In fact, his rhetoric and policies have exacerbated the situation. For Gigi and Bella, their world seems not to be penetrable with anti-Islamic abuses. For their roaring success becomes a model for appropriate treatment toward Muslims In addition, it creates a new frame of reference for younger generations and representations of Muslim women. The troubling part is that this stems from them being rich and beautiful, a rare and exclusive combination.
