Dictator Ramzan Kadyrov Wants To Expand The Economy

The leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov has asked Islamic religious scholars to see if the Koran allows the use of Bitcoin.

Why?

Because top religious scholars in Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia have spoken out against Bitcoin, arguing that it is against the edicts of Islam to use. Kadyrov has argued that the rules of other Islamic countries do not apply to the small republic under Russian authority.

While Kadyrov has bought Bitcoin for himself he would like to use the cryptocurrency to expand the economy of his country.

Kadyrov has been using a strict interpretation of Islam while running Chechyna. He has rounded up any LGBT Chechens and put jailed them or had them disappear. This has been the same for political opponents and human rights activists.

It is unclear what the ruling will be on Bitcoin.
