R. Ward Holder, Ph.D. is a professor of theology at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. He is also an ordained Presbyterian minister and author of such books as John Calvin and the Grounding Interpretation: Calvin’s First Commentaries, and co-author (with Peter B. Josephson) of The Irony of Barack Obama: Barack Obama, Reinhold Niebuhr, and the Problem of Christian Statecraft.
