The original title of the film was Staines, and was filmed near the Indian city of Hyderabad. The film narrative played out from the perspective of Manav Banerjee, a fictional character whose real profession was that of a journalist. Sharman Joshi, the noted Bollywood actor, played Banerjee's role. In the film, he was a covert journalist assigned by his newspaper to see whether Staines had or was continuing in his supposed quest to illegally turn Hindus into Christians. Baldwin plays the titular role. Shari Rigby, another noted American actor, played a major role in the flick.

During the journalist’s investigation, he encounters a number of revelations which were hard to comprehend and highly complex to explain. These compel him to make a tough choice between the truth and his own ambitions. Aneesh Daniel sits on the director's chair in the making of this film. The soundtrack has been composed by TobyMac, Michael W. Smith, and Nicole C. Mullen.

When asked by The Christian Post as to why he made the movie, Baldwin said it is his belief that God has ordered him to shoot the movie. He added that the film constitutes an answer to a specific prayer and is "empowered by the Holy Spirit." Baldwin, during his 2018 National Religious Broadcasters Proclaim conference, stressed that “revival” is extremely important and that every revival is a reminder of God.

"The Holy Spirit is always who He is, and He is the never-ending, immeasurable power of God, and we just need to be reminded of that," Baldwin said.
