Fear of God designer Jerry Lorenzo creates a collection for Justin Bieber’s Purpose Tour.

There was a time when it seemed like the whole world hated Justin Bieber, except for his fans, of course. Then he found faith. He was baptized in the year 2014 by Hillsong Church pastor, Carl Lentz. It changed him so much that he publicly admitted his past mistakes. He told The Mirror that he made a lot of mistakes in the past that he regrets now.

All the fame and attention at such a young age put him in a place that he did not want to be in. He told GQ magazine that faith has saved him from being a terrible person all his life. He plans to declare his Christian faith throughout his Purpose Tour by wearing the 15 pieces of designer clothes made by Fear of God specifically for him. He has already worn a piece that says Bigger Than Satan on a number of occasions.

What caught the attention of Bieber about the 'Fear of God' brand was The Fear generation movement. Jerry Lorenzo, the creator of 'Fear of God' had branded his clothing line into a movement called The Fear generation. Speaking about the Fear generation, Lorenzo said the Fear generation to him is the new generation of kids who knows God, and really believes in Him and are actually the coolest kids in school or anywhere. He said he wants to show to the world through his clothing line that Christian kids are the coolest kids. It is also the aim of Lorenzo to encourage more young people to embrace the Christian faith through his Fear generation movement.

Jerry Lorenzo said that when he started designing clothes, at first, he also started designing based on what was trending in the market. He stopped doing that once he realized he was not being honest about himself. He then started thinking in the line of showing Christianity in a cool way. Lorenzo said religion has always been consistent in his life. During one of the religious discussions with his parents, they started discussing the clouds of darkness surrounding God's kingdom. He said, for him, God has always been a really cool symbol. The cloud of darkness, for him, did not represent evil, but the different depths or layers of God. That discussion triggered the inception of “Fear of God.”

Lorenzo said most of the people do not know the true meaning of fear of God. Fear of God is not something that should cripple you. It is just a fear of not knowing. He said God is all-knowing, and he is always on your side. Lorenzo often shares quotes from pastors, like Joel Osteen, on his personal Twitter page.
