White House Bible Study

Capitol Ministries is leading the Bible classes at the White House.

The Christian Broadcasting Network has reported that Christian leaders now enjoy access to the White House thanks to President Donald J. Trump. The Republican political cabinet now engages in a weekly Bible study which is attended by top administration leaders like Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Vice President Mike Pence. Even Betsy DeVos, the Education Secretary, joins in when she is in Washington.

As per the website of Capitol Ministries, teaching sessions are led by Ralph Drollinger, founder of the DC-based organization. Members of the Senate and House are expected to attend.

The website of Capitol Ministries openly states that it aims to deliver the Gospel to every available public servant, and in every capitol in every year. This organization was founded in 1996 and its vision has remained unchanged from that time. The Capitol Ministries will evangelize the elected officials and then lead them towards their full spiritual development in the light of Christ. The organization has described its aims as BHAG or the Big, Hairy, Audacious Goal and stressed that it will stay away from any political activity. It will focus on the leaders' hearts.

Capitol Ministries has claimed to have “planted Bible studies” across 40 state Capitols. It has also reached out to 24 foreign nations. The organization has the stated mission to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the political leaders all over the world.

As per the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), the list of regular attendees include Mike Pompeo, the CIA Director, Rick Perry, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and Tom Price, the Secretary of Human Services. President Trump is among the list of invitees. He is regularly sent a copy of the Bible lesson every week.

Drollinger is extremely happy with his students. He had described the sessions as the best Bible study he has ever taught in his life. He described his students as eminently teachable, learned and noble.

Queries about Bible studies inside the White House have been met by silence. No answers were given by the office of education, Department of Health and Human Services, office of the vice president, or from White House itself. The spokesperson of the CIA declined to answer. Only the spokesman of the Justice Department confirmed the presence of Jeff Sessions if he is present in Washington DC.
