Franklin Graham’s humanitarian organization mobilizing aid
The crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border has the whole nation on edge. Many people on the U.S. side of the border do not have access to supplies such as food, water, diapers, hygiene kits as well as other emergency supplies. Samaritan’s Purse, a humanitarian organization, led by Franklin Graham, is now doing their bit to minister to migrant families[/tweetit] that are suffering from hunger, heat, and exhaustion.

In a recent press release, Samaritan’s Purse said that they’re working with their partners as well as churches in Laredo, Del Rio, McAllen. Along with other communities on the U.S. side of the border. Those who’ve cleared U.S. Customs and Border Protection are given food, water, and other emergency supplies.
Samaritan’s Purse is also helping a pastor who lets more than 100 migrants into his home every day. The organization has given the pastor mattresses, a refrigerator, and even tents. Samaritan’s Purse has also taken a kitchen trailer to Del Rio. Estimates from officials have put the number of migrants who pass through Del Rio every day at 70 to 120.
Franklin Graham told CBN News that churches in the area had asked them to help. They’re assisting migrants because of the appalling conditions. Graham said that plenty of these migrants have been traveling for as long as six months, which means that they’re tired, dirty, and frustrated.
Christian singer/songwriter Nicole Nordeman posted an open letter to Graham in The Washington Post urging him to make use of his influence with President Trump. She asked him to encourage Trump to help the people who were suffering at the border. She also said that Graham is in a position where he can do more than watch. She went on to say that Graham can intervene in the border emergency because the President respects and listens to his opinion as he has demonstrated in the past.

When asked if outside pressure influenced his decision to act, Graham denied the allegation by saying that they respond to need. He also said that he was frustrated with Congress and blamed them for creating the situation at the border. However, he added that the U.S. has a President who’s trying to solve some of their problems.
