PA Syrian immigrants, worried about radical Muslims entering the US, support Trump’s migrant ban.
Unsurprisingly, nearly half of America’s voters have expressed their support for Trump’s ban on migrants and refugees from seven Muslim-majority nations. Trump supporters, especially from Pennsylvania, are wholeheartedly supporting this decision.

Pennsylvanian Trump supporters believe this decision will prove to be very effective in curbing the problem of terrorism in the U.S. Residents insist they are feeling much safer now when compared to the U.S. under Obama. They believe Trump has not targeted Muslims, but only countries that are more prone to produce terrorists.
What is surprising, however, is support for his decision is coming from immigrant Americans. Syrian Christian refugees who settled in America are all for supporting Trump’s ban on refugees[/tweetit] coming from their homeland.
The community alleges the fight has turned into a religious war where jihadists are fighting against the government. As such, the Syrian Christians are afraid allowing refugees to come into the U.S. would be as good as extending a warm invitation to religious fundamentalists into the country. They are afraid this would lead to an unsafe environment in the U.S., one that would defeat the whole purpose of their seeking refuge in the nation.
The Syrian Christians are also afraid because they can be easily framed for crimes committed by terrorists. As they have names and features which are similar to other refugees from the Middle East, the community has faced trouble at the hands of other Americans who misunderstood them. The community now believes allowing more refugees from Syria will further increase the risks they are already facing.
Although they maintained Trump’s tough screening-process is justified, the Syrian Christian families that have been interviewed revealed they were worried about the innocent families that will be turned away by the ban. The interviewees said most of the people who were fleeing the war-torn nation were poor and looking for peace. They insisted these are not the people who could pose any harm to the U.S. They believe the real problem is the radical feeling that has been stoked by political figures.

The community reminisces of a time when there were no differences between Christians and Muslims. They blame the religious drifts on the war, and the minds behind the war. The community, however, is disappointed at Trump for targeting the Syrians in particular as being potential terrorists. They said as a president, Trump should have an equal process for everybody, rather than singling them out and focusing more strongly on them because it sends a message that all Syrians are terrorists.
