Mother Teresa had visions and conversations with Jesus.
A new discovery was made after Mother Teresa's death which amazed even those individuals who were closely associated with her. One among them, Fr. Sebastian Vazhakala, who was her friend for more than 30 years, revealed that after her demise, documents were discovered which say that she has had visions of Christ and had even spoken to him before she founded the Missionaries of Charity order.

Mother Teresa’s spiritual life was kept private from public as much as possible until her death. Upon her demise, the cause for canonizing her was initiated and as part of the canonization process, documents related to her, including letters and memoirs that she herself had written were scrutinized. Among these documents, which were taken out from the archives of the Jesuit fathers in Calcutta, was a letter handwritten by Mother Teresa herself. From this letter, it is evident that the she not only had visions of Christ, but has also conversed with him. These visions seem to have occurred between 1946 and 1947, when she was a member of the Sisters of Loreto. At the time of the visions, she was serving as a teacher at the Irish order's school in Calcutta.

According to sources, Mother Teresa received many of her visions at Eucharist during Mass. On one such encounter, she relates, she heard the voice of Jesus say, “I want Indian nuns, victims of my love, who would be Mary and Martha, who would be so united to me as to radiate my love on souls.” In fact it was during one of these Eucharistic visions that Mother Teresa received her directions to start the order of the Missionaries of Charity. These visions gave her instructions as to what kind of women should be part of the order.
When she delayed, she recounts that she was asked whether she would refuse to do what was asked of her. According to Vazhakala, she wrote that Jesus also told her “I cannot go alone to the poor people, you carry me with you into them.”
It is commonly known that Mother Teresa went through a period of hopelessness and despair. However, these new revelations are less known, and give the faithful an all new reason to believe in her sanctity.
