The film leans heavily on the Trump Prophecy movement
If one believes the message pushed by the Liberty University produced the film The Trump Prophecy, then God wanted Donald J. Trump to become the President of the United States. The Republican won not due to the right's hatred of Hillary, or the skewed voter turnout, or even Russian interference, but by the action of the Almighty alone.
The concept of Trump being chosen by God was first brought into the public consciousness by a retired fireman, Mark Taylor. In his words, a voice claiming to be from the vocal chords of God himself told Taylor while he watched a Trump interview in 2011 that the real estate billionaire has been selected by the Almighty to become the next President of the United States. God's initiative, Taylor claimed, has only just begun. He has written a total of 23 "prophetic words" which are all strangely Republican with a distinct Trumpian flavor.
Among the predictions made by the prophetic words, it was said that the president will serve his full two terms and appoint five justices to the Supreme Court. The noted 1973 decision by the Supreme Court on abortion matters in the Roe v. Wade case will be overturned, and Republicans will overwhelm both the Senate and House of Representatives. Other points of the prophecy have more than a tinge of the dictatorial: The Trump administration will begin a slew of arrests against a significant number of corrupt officials. Many of the thousands arrested will be found to be members of a gigantic satanic pedophile ring. The military tribunals will surpass Nuremberg in dispensing justice and incarcerate many treasonous Americans, including Hillary Clinton, former U.S. President Barack Obama, and sacked Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, James Comey. Taylor also claimed that the American media continuously lies to the people and is effectively America's enemy.
Finally, the movie we've all been waiting for! The one where Jesus – I mean Trump – comes to save us all! https://t.co/B8p5QdXh5p

The Trump Prophecy film is a part of the small but notable "Trump prophecy" movement which claims the present administration is ordained by God and its critics are Satan's emissaries. That Trump is chosen by God has been endorsed by multiple well-known evangelical leaders, including Robert Jeffress, the Baptist preacher, Franklin Graham, the evangelist, and Paula White, the noted televangelist and presidential adviser.
The film's producer, ReelWorks Studios' Rick Eldridge, has for a long time had an interest in prophecy. His previous film Four Blood Moons was Christian themed and claimed God's primary method of communication was astronomical events.
