Despite an upsetting loss, Stephen Curry’s wife, Ayesha Curry, gracefully thanked God after the NBA Finals.
Ayesha Curry, wife of NBA superstar Stephen Curry, is no stranger to social media. After Curry’s Golden State Warriors lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, Ayesha tweeted that the NBA was fixed and hoping for a Game 7 to make more money.

But despite being lambasted by Cleveland fans and other internet patrons alike after the Warriors lost game 7 as well, she took the high road when tweeting to her 610,000 followers: “Everything according to His plan always Glory to God.”

The Curry family might be the most publically Christian professional sports family at the moment. Ayesha retweeted a message from Stephen’s sister Sydel as well: “God and family always stay consistent. That’s why I stay unbothered. Goodnight.”

Stephen was disappointed in the loss and how he played, but hopeful about the future. “Obviously, it’s not how we wanted the season to end this year. But we are very, very confident, optimistic and excited knowing what we can accomplish going forward.”
Ayesha Curry also expressed her feelings on the Golden State Warriors’ Facebook Page, posting: “What an amazing run!”, “I’m such a fan!” and “Our guys are resilient and I know next season will bring forth even more amazement.”
On the car ride home from Game 7 on Sunday night, Stephen looked at his three-year-old daughter, Riley, and said, “We didn’t win.”
She replied, “I know. It’s okay.”
So while Ayesha Curry has been the center of controversy on social media several times this NBA season, she and the rest of the Curry family did not take the bait of any internet trolls after the Warriors’ became the first team to blow a 3-1 NBA Finals series’ lead. Instead, they came together as a family and reflected on their faith and blessings.
