Justin Bieber posted a photo to Instagram Saturday showing off his new tattoo.

On Friday, he tattooed a small cross next to his eye at West 4th Tattoo Parlor in New York City. Bieber has over 50 tattoos.

The tattoo artist, Jonboy, speaking with Us Weekly said “Justin came in last night and decided on a small cross near the corner of his eye. It represents his journey in finding purpose with God.”

Resting up for the show in Philly it's gonna be a good one mark my words

It is not the first one that represents his faith — Bieber also has a large cross in the center of his chest.

Bieber’s journey in Christianity has been well discussed with the media. Last summer, Bieber attended a Hillsong Church conference in Australia and said he hope to “find God” after a particularly rough year when he was acting out in public and getting in trouble with the law. In September, he opened up about his journey in a lengthy interview with Complex magazine. In an interview with Billboard, he revealed that he starts each day praying to God.

After visiting the tattoo parlor, Bieber performed a spontaneous set at the Manhattan club Up & Down.
