The event will be livestreamed and hex instructions will be provided through social media.

A significant number of witches plan to gather on October 20 in Brooklyn to hex Brett Kavanaugh[/tweetit], the newly confirmed Supreme Court Justice. He was sworn into the highest court in the United States despite multiple sexual misconduct allegations. The hex will use effigies, graveyard dirt, and coffin nails among others. The timing of the event is from seven in the evening to 10 at night at Catland, a spiritual community space which also functions as an occult bookstore in Brooklyn. All tickets are sold out.

Approximately 1,000 people have confirmed their plans to attend the hex event, but the venue has a maximum seating capacity of 60 people. Catland has thus taken the decision to livestream the event. It will also distribute instructions through social media for those who wish to replicate the same ritual in their home. 50 percent of the proceeds from the event will be given to Planned Parenthood. Monies are also earmarked for Ali Forney Center, a shelter in New York City for LGBTQ homeless young people.

Dakota Bracciale, the organizer of the event, told the media the desired outcome of the event is to make Justice Brett Kavanaugh suffer. She said those who cast the spells will basically be Antifa witches. She said although Kavanaugh became a judge, he did not win. Bracciale continued, “He may have been confirmed, but that’s something we already knew was going to happen. We know the system is broken, and the people in charge need to be taken down by any means necessary, magical or otherwise."

The hex's event page says although Kavanaugh will be the main focus of the event, it includes all rapists along with the patriarchy which gives them the confidence to do heinous deeds and after doing those activities, protects and even rewards them. Bracciale urges those who want to attend to bring all the rage and all the proverbial axes they want to grind. She informed through the page that there will also be a second ritual, named "The Rites of the Scorned One." This latter ritual will validate, uphold, support, and affirm those who were wronged and those who do not want to be silent any more.

According to Bracciale, the event will likely attract secular people who will be attracted by the sense of community this kind of event creates. She said that there will be an inevitable sense of camaraderie and fellowship.
