When will Trump appoint a leader for the White House faith partnership office?

The White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships was founded as the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives in the year 2001 by the then President George W. Bush. Its aim was to assist faith-based organizations with their social services via federal funds, and thus make their efforts more effective. The former President Barack Obama, when he took the Presidential office in 2009, changed its name to the present one, and appointed its head within a couple of weeks. President Donald Trump still has not yet named a director for the faith partnership office.[/tweetit] Melissa Rogers, who has been holding the post until the Trump administration took over, hopes the office will continue doing its good works, such as fighting the Ebola and such deadly viruses, providing nutritious meals to poor children, and so on. A number of religious groups are associated with the faith partnership office.

Donald Trump rid to Presidency with strong support from conservative evangelicals, and they are definitely reaping the benefits. The evangelical leaders constantly communicate with the Trump administration and many of the State Department and White House meetings begin and end with prayers led by evangelicals. In fact, a majority of the evangelicals believe they have an open-door policy with the Trump administration. Johnnie Moore, who has been a member of the evangelical advisory board for Trump during his election campaign, says the administration has already been in talks with a number of Christian and Jewish leaders and has assured that the faith community will be given a seat at the table.

Another high-power position that is yet to be filled is that of the ambassador-at-large, International Religious Freedom. Rabbi David Saperstein, who held the position until Trump became the President, believes that his successor would soon be appointed. Till then, the organization's competent staff would hold the fort and ensure religious freedom across the world.

Rob Boston, Director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State said that it is odd that Donald Trump has not yet appointed a director for the faith partnership office, given his good connection with conservative evangelicals.

A visit to the faith partnership office's web page under the official website of the White House will give you a message that the page is getting updated.
