Hillary Clinton’s response to the DNC WikiLeaks on 60 Minutes
CBS television network aired its 60 Minutes show that featured both Hillary Clinton and her running mate Tim Kaine, last Sunday night. An exclusive online clip contained an exchange with host Scott Pelley regarding the DNC WikiLeaks. However, CBS posted the exchange online.

Pelley asked Clinton about the leaked email that showed DNC's Chief Financial Officer Brad Marshall trying to paint Bernie Sanders as an atheist. Clinton replied, “No, I didn’t know anything about it, and I haven’t read any of those, but I am adamantly opposed to anyone bringing religion into our political process. I mean, the Constitution says no religious test, so that is just absolutely wrong and unacceptable.”
Senator Kaine pitched in, “I was a DNC chair during Obama's first term. You're not going to find anybody at the DNC or the RNC or any political organization who is a complete agnostic, who doesn't have an opinion about a candidate. But there's a difference between having an opinion about somebody, having a candidate you prefer over somebody else. There's a difference between that and trying to alter the outcome.”
Clinton also said during the interview that she knows how to manage bullies, both those at home and those around the world. Pelley asked whether she was referring to Donald Trump. Clinton replied, "I think he's behaved in a very bullying manner. Our country needs to stand up to people who take pleasure in pushing other people around, who incite violence, who mock and degrade people. That's classic bullying and I don't think we should tolerate it."
According to Clinton, there are a few people in the Republican Party, her political adversaries, who do not bear a grudge. She says they make all kinds of outrageous attacks on her, however, once the campaign is over, they apologize.
It was last Friday, July 22, that WikiLeaks released about 20,000 emails stolen from the DNC's servers, on social media. The emails contained information about the Democratic Party’s 2016 Presidential campaign. It showed that the top DNC officials favored Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders during the primaries. The whole event led DNC's chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz to resign from her position. Her resignation will take effect at the end of the Democratic Party's convention.
