Trump vows to cut Johnson Amendment.
Donald Trump has his sights set on a prize bigger than the presidency of the United States, he hinted to a group of social and religious conservatives recently, telling them that if he is elected, he will repeal the Johnson Amendment, reports The Washington Times.

Trump said that getting rid of the provision that bans churches and other tax-exempt groups from endorsing political candidates, a provision that has been around since the 1950s and is named after Lyndon B. Johnson, just might be his ticket into heaven.
“The first thing we have to do is to give our churches their voice back,” Trump told the group. He has worked hard to overcome his long-time image which was less than appealing to social conservatives, given his previous view on abortion, his two divorces and extramarital affairs back in the 1990s.
Trump has also highlighted his children on the campaign trail, giving them a voice, which has impressed the right. As has his selection of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, who is well-respected among conservatives.
Often accused of not having any policy plans, Trump has also wooed the right by promising to nominate Supreme Court justices who will uphold the Constitution, defend “religious liberty,” repeal Obamacare, and fight for a voucher program to give students in failing schools more choices in their education.
And even the most casual news-watcher knows that Trump plans on erasing ISIS from the map.
He summarized his stance this way “Let me state this upfront: in Trump administration our Christian heritage will be protected, defended like you have never seen before.”
While his plans on making it to heaven are a work in progress, it seems his desire to seduce the conservatives in America is bearing fruit. High-profile Republican Michele Bachmann is certainly on board. “On every single level if you look at the agenda that Donald Trump has put forward, it has been one that I as a Constitutional conservative, as believer in Jesus Christ, cannot only easily embrace, but readily embrace,” she said.
