President Nelson is a popular figure in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Nelson is a father, husband, disciple, patriarch, servant, songwriter, surgeon, prophet, musician, researcher, and scientist among many others. Nelson discovered joy in caring and serving others.

All associates, friends, and families from all over the world are now invited to join the 95th birthday celebration of President Nelson scheduled to take place on September 6. Distinguished guests and well-known performers will offer personal tributes and musical performances. There will be insights into the service, life, and ministry of President Nelson.

President Dallin H. Oaks said these kinds of celebrations were common during the church's early days and such events offer an inspiring insight into the lives of people selected by God with the aim to serve as the almighty’s prophets. “I have personally attended many such events for past prophets, and each time I leave with a sense of wonder and gratitude for the way in which our Father in Heaven shapes, trains and teaches His prophets. It will be a privilege for all of us to participate and to celebrate President Nelson’s 95th birthday.”

Those who wish to attend will enjoy free entry to the event. Tickets will be available July 30 at ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
