Richard Dawkins says religion is a ‘force of evil’ on BBC’s Sunday Morning Live.
It is believed that religion was established for the betterment of humanity, but atheist Richard Dawkins said “religion is a force for evil,” and the afterlife does not exist. He believes we all are aware of our mortality and someday we all have to die, sooner or later, and that is the end of our journey. He further said that he has no belief in god or afterlife, and he will stick to this belief forever.
Dawkins is an evolutionary biologist and a famous atheist. He is the writer of the book The God Delusion in which he stated that God is unjust, a control freak, bloodthirsty, racist, homophobic, vindictive, genocidal, and more.

Recently, this renowned biologist had a stroke and was hospitalized. Journalists asked him whether he wanted to change his previous quote about God and religion since he has now seen death from a close distance. He replied that he is firm in his belief, and nothing in the world can change his opinion.
According to Dawkins, a child is not Hindu, Muslim or Christian, but rather the child is born to Hindu parents, Christian parents or Muslim parents, so it is the right of the children to choose or reject the religion when they grow up. Parents cannot force their children to believe anything.
Dawkins wanted to establish that all the evil going on in the world is the cause of religion. If religion did not exist, there would be more peace in the world. He focused on the Islamic extremists in the Middle East as well as Saudi Arabia where Islam has been a leading cause of many social as well as economical and political chaoses. He further added that Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism also bring harm to the humanity.
When he was asked about his belief, he mentioned an incident when he was just nine-years-old. He then came to know about the existence of various religions in the world and thought to himself that not all the religions can be right at once. So, he decided to pursue his studies on biology, and when he learned about Darwinism, his belief in God finally disappeared. Richard Dawkins said that you will not be able to enjoy the beauty of life if you are chained by the belief of religion and God. He compared religion to a virus that infects the minds of humans, and it turns a rational person to a dogmatic automaton who is willing to die as well as kill for his religion. For this reason, Dawkins suggested to read the Holy Bible, as it has great importance in literature, but he asked for the elimination of faith-based studies in schools.
In an interview with BBC, he said he will not write any more books on anti-religion, though he is very proud of his books.
