Jeffress and other evangelicals have continued to support Trump

Stormy Daniels, the porn star who shot into notoriety after her alleged affair with Donald J. Trump in 2006 went public, has quashed a rumor that she attends the church of a particular pastor…

Robert Jeffress. Daniels described this as the “most offensive lie” she has read about herself to date.

Daniels replied to the tweet saying, “This is THE most offensive lie I’ve read about myself to date. Can we please go back to calling me a drug addicted male prostitute from outer space? Thanks!”

Recently she has been active on Twitter defending statements she made on 60 Minutes. In her suit, Daniels claims that the non-disclosure agreement had stopped her from discussing the alleged 2006 intimate relationship is invalid as Trump did not sign it. Michael Cohen, Trump’s lawyer, admitted to paying Daniels $130,000 during the same period.

The President has denied the claims. Daniels has passed a lie-detector test. She has repeatedly said she had sexual relations with the real estate billionaire in July 2006 while Trump was married to his present wife and now First Lady Melania Trump.

Evangelicals have expectedly spoken out for Trump. Robert Jeffress, the head of Dallas, First Baptist Church, was particularly vocal about his support to the president. The pastor claimed that evangelicals would remain steadfast in support of Trump even if what she said was true. “Evangelicals know they are not compromising their beliefs in order to support this great president. Evangelicals still believe in the commandment: Thou shalt not have sex with a porn star. However, whether this president violated that commandment or not is totally irrelevant to our support of him,” Jeffress said.

According to evangelicals, they knew they had not voted for a kind of altar boy. It is natural that the 45th president of the United States will continue to enjoy the support of evangelicals even after such allegations. Jeffress claimed that evangelicals comprehend concepts of not only sin but also of forgiveness.
