Lady Gaga also urged President Trump to stop the federal government shutdown.

Stefani Germanotta, better known as Lady Gaga, condemned U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, terming him as one of Christianity’s worst representations. She said it is deplorable that he thinks it’s acceptable for his wife to work at a school which expressly bans LGBTQ individuals. The singer made her views known in Las Vegas at a Park MGM performance.

The singer said she herself is a Christian woman and the Christian religion she knows has no prejudice against anyone and every person is welcome to the fold. Lady Gaga went on to say the VP could take all the disgrace, which according to Pence, comes with homosexuality, and look at himself in the mirror – he will find all the worst bits staring back towards him. Gaga’s comments came only a few days after reports his wife Karen Pence will teach at Immanuel Christian School, a private educational academy which bans LGBTQ students and faculty.

The Immanuel Christian School, among many other oddities, enforces that potential employees must promise they believe marriage could only occur between a woman and a man. Any person associated with this institution must not engage in any sort of “transgender identity” or any homosexual activity. The VP defended his wife’s job in a media interview, saying Christian education in the United States has a rich tradition and there is a wide definition of what constitutes religious education.

Pence expressed dismay as he felt prominent news organizations had attacked Christian education. The Vice President identifies himself as an evangelical Christian. He even gave the argument that criticism of American Christian education must end.

Pence is a known face in the LGBTQ community in the past. He has supported a number of legislations which went against the queer community. In 2015, he signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, a bill widely viewed by many as against LGBTQ policies.

Lady Gaga also asked President Trump to break the deadlock on the federal government and reopen every department and structure forming it. The singer said federal employees need their paychecks to survive.
