Attendees at the 2019 edition of California’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival were treated to Kanye West’s ‘Sunday Service.'[/tweetit] West treated the audience with a solid 2.5-hour long performance which also included cameos by artists like Chance the Rapper and DMX. West’s fans enjoyed the debut of a new song, “Water”, which he seamlessly transitioned to from his Gospel rendition of “All Falls Down”, itself a massively popular track.

For those who were unable to attend, the Coachella performance was live streamed through YouTube. Viewers could see and hear what was going on from the likes of a peephole perspective. When West sang “Water”, the camera lens switched from the singers to a water bottle trail. The Sunday Service by West is now a weekly fixture having begun a few weeks before. The event involves the rapper and a band playing music outdoors. West has incorporated this feature into the Coachella set. He got emotional with DMX and Kid Cudi at one point during his performance.

West, whose hits include “Jesus Walks”, continued his Christian-flavored performances on Easter Sunday. His venue was “The Mountain,” a Coachella campsite on a hillside located approximately 130 miles from Los Angeles. There is a possibility that the songs sung at the site may be included in the album Yandhi, which the rapper will release shortly. The release date, however, is not yet fixed. The song “Water” contained lyrics which espoused the emotional value of being clean and urged the listener to take extra or unwelcome elements out of their lives.

West and his band sang the full ensemble including disco and classic soul hits like “Summer Madness” by Kool & The Gang, “Do I Do” by Stevie Wonder, and “Outstanding” by The Gap Band. He brought out Chance the Rapper in the middle of his performance to perform his verse “Ultralight Beam”.
