The theme took shape at the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ New York headquarters.

In keeping with the theme adopted all over the world in 2017, the theme at this year’s Jehovah’s Witness regional convention will be “Don't Give Up.”

A total of 481 conventions are to be held all around the globe. The theme is developed at the Warwick, New York headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses. Bits and pieces of the programming content like videos are prepared at the national level, while each convention has multiple live sessions, like drama, Bible lessons, and interviews.

About 5,000 people were expected to attend New Jersey’s three-day conference last month at the Stanley Theater in Jersey City.

According to the organizers, the event's purpose is to learn from the words said by God. The event explains how to lead a better life and have fruitful relationships with friends and family. It also teaches attendees how to be a good neighbor and lead peaceful and happy lives.

The convention is conducted in over ten different languages, including American Sign Language.

The convention is held to strengthen Christian brotherhood and “create an opportunity to meet and associate with Witnesses from other congregations or even from other lands.”

The Reynolds Center at the University of Tulsa in Kansas had 2,708 Jehovah's Witnesses in attendance last Friday. It was a well-organized convention which ran like clockwork. This was made possible by the untiring work of hundreds of volunteers. These volunteers worked over a number of months to coordinate and plan multiple aspects of the convention.

One person knows all this as he is the convention committee coordinator. Bob Hoffman, the person who ensured the event went as planned, partnered with two other members of the committee to make it a success. According to him, the plan was first envisaged two years before, at the time Reynolds Center was first contracted to hold the event. For Jehovah's Witnesses organizers, the TU is a beautiful facility. It also helped that the management is cooperative.

Meanwhile, in central California, over 38,000 are expected to attend the conference starting tomorrow at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, CA.
