Demonstrators are rallying to show solidarity with France and support freedom of the press.
Earlier today, three hooded gunman shouting “Allahu Akbar,” an Islamic phrase meaning “God is great” attacked the office of Charlie Hebdo, a satirical magazine, killing 12 people.
At the time of this writing, one of the young suspects, Hamyd Mourad, 18, has turned himself in, while a manhunt continues for the other two suspects.
France’s president is describing what happened as a terrorist attack.
Supporters around the world are using the hashtag #JeSuisCharlie to share their thoughts.
