The Jolie-Pitt family was vacationing at a luxurious resort situated in Phuket, a mountainous island and rainforest regarded as one of the most beautiful spots in the Andaman Sea.

The family has had its share of mishaps during vacation. Pax, 12, one of their sons, was reported to break his leg while he was jet skiing. However, he is now in stable condition and is on the path to recovery. The power couple, along with their six kids, Vivienne, Pax, Knox, Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh, are staying in Amanpuri beach resort, Phuket. The place reportedly carries a charge of $18,000 every night. If not in the luxurious resort, the Jolie-Pitt family has been seen swimming in the sea while on a luxury yacht. They also played mini-golf and shopped at nearby malls. Jolie is on a break from her present directorial project based in Cambodia.

Rajan Zed, a Hindu statesman, in his statement from Nevada in the United States, welcomed Jolie's new interest towards Hinduism. He indicated that she should read deeper into the religion. This will help her appreciate the diverse, rich and age-old tradition of enlightening Hindu philosophy. He also mentioned the Hindu philosophy concerning nature of reality.

Zed holds the post of President, Universal Society of Hinduism. He further added that in case Jolie needs assistance in exploring the wonders of Hinduism, he, along with a number of other Hindu scholars will be happy to assist.  The president also suggested that Jolie should realize that the Katha Upanishad, the ancient Hindu scripture, says that when the wise realize Self, they move beyond the hollow confines of sorrow. Zed added that the Self is supreme. The people who meditate on the Self become free from the birth and death cycle. When a person realizes one's Self, nothing much else matters.

Jolie, in addition to being one of Hollywood's most dependable actresses is also a known humanitarian and filmmaker. Hinduism is the oldest and third biggest religion in the globe. Approximately one billion people follow it. Devout Hindus believe that moksha or liberation is the ultimate goal.
