Hillsong's Marty Sampson is Losing His Faith

“I am so happy now, so at peace with the world,” says Marty Sampson, songwriter for Hillsong Church.

Infamous worship music writer Marty Sampson has said he’s losing his faith . Marty Sampson is well known for working with Delirious, Hillsong United, Hillsong Worship, as well as Young & Free.

The songwriter shared the news in an Instagram post which he has now deleted. His post read: “I’m genuinely losing my faith, and it doesn’t bother me. Like, what bothers me now is nothing. I am so happy now, so at peace with the world.”

Sampson then wrote about why he felt his faith slipping. He asked many questions such as how many preachers fall, how many miracles happen, why is the bible full of contradictions, how can God be about love then send billions of souls to Hell because they don’t believe in him. He then wrote that there are many types of Christians. Some of them are beautiful and loving people, while some of them are the most judgmental people you’ll meet on earth. He then said that it isn’t for him.

Marty Sampson went on to say that science has made him question religion because of how it keeps deflating the truth of every religion. Sampson also said that there are many things which help people improve their lives, and it isn’t always a single version of God. He finished up by saying that Christianity is becoming like other religions to him.

The founder of God First, Life Second, John Mason, has said that Sampson’s position shows “our minds are directly related to our spiritual position.” Drew Dyck has said that he is quite sad to hear about Sampson turning away from Christianity. Drew Dyck is a famous Christian author.

The post from Sampson comes only a few short weeks after Christian writer Joshua Harris announced that he is no longer a Christian.
