Texan man and his aunt discovered the sea snail fossils they believe to be from Noah’s Great Flood in their front yard.

A normal day suddenly turned out to be a very delightful and significant day for Wayne Propst and his aunt Sharon after they came upon some sea snail fossils that they believe are from the time period of Noah's flood. Propst was laying dirt in the front yard when he came upon the fossils. Propst told KYTX, the local news station, that his aunt and he strongly believe that the fossils happened during the flood that occurred during the time of Noah (from the book of Genesis). He said his aunt and he are both very excited to find the fossils.

Right after discovering the fossils, Propst, who is a creationist, sent photos of them to Joe Taylor, a fellow creationist. Joe Taylor is the director and curator of the creationist museum, Mt. Blanco Fossil Museum, located at Crosbyton, Texas. According to him, the flood happened a few thousand years ago. He also believes that Noah saved a pair of each of the animal species, including dinosaurs. Joe Taylor is of the opinion that dinosaurs very much existed during the time of Noah. After verifying the photos of the fossils, Taylor confirmed to KYTX channel that the fossils are indeed from the time period of Noah's flood. Taylor did this without actually seeing the fossils, and without carbon-dating the fossils.

Fossils usually take at least ten-thousand years to form. Most of the fossils discovered so far date back to millions of years. James Sagebiel, Manager at the Vertebrate Paleontology Collections, Texas, told the Tyler Morning Telegraph that the fossils discovered by Propst are millions of years old. He said it is not unusual to find these small Turritella sea snails on 40-50 million years old marine rocks. As an explanation for how the Turritella snails might have ended up on Tyler, Texas, Sagebiel said the place where the city stands might have been a coastline in the past.

Some researchers believe that the inspiration for Noah's flood might have come from a large-scale flood event that might have occurred in the Middle-East many years ago. However, experts point out that there is no scientific evidence suggesting that a flood that covered the entire land ever occurred in the human history. They also believe that, practically, it might have been impossible for Noah and his family to fill up the Ark with a pair of all the animal species that existed during that time, especially dinosaurs.
