Good Omens series takes place during 2018. The time is set to be the apocalypse, when humanity will soon get the final judgment. According to the show’s description, the armies of both Evil and Good are gathering, Tempers heat up everywhere and Atlantis is rising as predicted. Everything seems to be going according to the predetermined Divine Plan. Other than a “fussy angel, and a fast-living demon are not looking forward to the coming war, and someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.”

David Tennant of Dr. Who fame and Michael Sheen, who previously starred in Amadeus will have the principal roles. Tennant will play the demon Crowley and Sheen will portray the angel Aziraphale who guarded the Garden of Eden after man’s slip into sin. The two team up to stop the Antichrist.

Tennant has expressed his pleasure in participating with the project calling it “a dream team dream gig.” Gaiman, in an earlier statement said, “Almost 30 years ago, Terry Pratchett and I wrote the funniest novel we could about the end of the world, populated with angels and demons, not to mention an 11-year old antichrist, witchfinders and the four horsepeople of the Apocalypse. It became many people's favorite book.”
